Jennifer Main is one of Las Vegas' youngest and most successful emerging artists. At the age of thirteen, she began selling her artwork. At the age of seventeen, she began selling her artwork in galleries while attending the Las Vegas Academy of International Studies, Performing, and Visual Arts. Jennifer also attended the prestigious School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has exhibited her work at the "New York Art Expo" four consecutive years. Now in her early twenties, she sells her artwork in California, Colorado, Missouri, Nevada, New York, Texas, Missouri and has a growing list of collectors worldwide.
Throughout her life, Main has shown great aptitude and appreciation for the visual arts, as well as her nine-year study of piano and dance. She expresses her artistic talent in a variety of mediums including oil, acrylic, charcoal, chalk pastel, and watercolor.
Main’s contemporary, expressionistic paintings present her interpretation of the human figure and face to express and evoke intense emotions. Key elements include vivid contrasting colors, and often the eye as a reflection of the human soul and spirit. The beauty of the human figure, the relationship between man and woman, and her love of music are three of Jennifer’s inspirations. In addition to the traditional canvas, she also paints furniture, murals, clothing, glassware, and silk ties.
Several artists that have influenced Jennifer’s work include Pablo Picasso, Keith Haring, Egon Schiele, Salvador Dali and Mar Chagall. She has won numerous art contests including 1st place in the Project 21 poster contest against underage gambling and 1st place in the We Can art contest, working to eliminate child abuse and neglect.
Jennifer also donates artwork to help many charities including March of Dimes, Classroom on Wheels, United Blood Services, New Horizons Academy, Secret Witness, The Race to Erase MS, and Visible Angels. Her work also recently appeared on MTV’s "The Real World in San Diego" and Discovery Channel’s "American Casino". Ambitious and prolific, Jennifer Main has a true passion for art.
